Former CIA employee and NSA contractor, Edward Snowden, best known for leaking classified documents about illegal worldwide surveillance program named PRISM back in 2013, recently took to Twitter to share his opinions about ‘social media’ platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Businesses that make money by collecting and selling detailed records of private lives were once plainly described as “surveillance companies.” Their rebranding as “social media” is the most successful deception since the Department of War became the Department of Defense.

However, this isn’t all that Snowden had to say about Facebook and other social media platforms.
