During today’s Capcom Showcase, players were treated to a new trailer for the new Capcom title Exoprimal. In the beginning, there was no clear answer to which form this game would take with the first look we got during Sony’s State of Play earlier this year. But now we know that Exoprimal will be a full-priced title and will arrive next year.

Exoprimal will be a unique look into a world being dominated by prehistoric creatures. With outbreaks of dinosaurs happening worldwide, humanity now faces a crisis that puts its existence at risk. To counteract this threat, the corporation Aibius developed an advanced AI named Leviathan. The AI predicts future outbreaks, allowing humans to deal with these breaks with Aibius-powered exosuits.

These exosuits are divided into three types assault, tank, and support. Each of these different types will have its abilities that provide advantages in combat. Players can also change exosuit types at any time, even in the middle of battle, providing a large amount of flexibility.

Team up and Survive Against Hordes of Dinosaurs

Exoprimal is a PvPvE game that will pit competing teams of players against one another in arenas full of hostile AI enemies. The team at Capcom wanted to take their title in some new direction focusing more on the PvE element of the game rather than the PvP like others. The team also wanted to shift away from their other title Monster Hunter. Instead of one powerful monster, players will have to face off against hordes of smaller enemies.

After checking out the showcase trailer for Capcom’s title Exoprimal, you can head over to the Exoprimal’s product page on Capcom’s website. Exoprimal has a release date of 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Series X|S. So, for now, that’s all the information we’re going to get, but you can head over to Capcom’s development page to check out any of their other past or future projects.
