Evil West, the third-person shooter mixing dark fantasy with the wild west, has set its crosshairs on a September 20 release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. You can check out the latest trailer, which features a healthy bit of gameplay, below!

What Does the Evil West Have to Offer?

Evil West isn’t the classic tale of the wild west you’ve grown accustomed to, with a dark presence consuming much of this old, American frontier. This dark presence isn’t too scary to you though, being one of the last agents in a rather secret vampire-hunting organization (did anyone say Van Helsing?). With your powers still in hand, and the unending desire to end all who dare oppose the west you’ve come to love, it’s up to you to end these foes, stop the seething vampire threat underneath, and save the United States! Or something like that at least.

Similar to the team’s last game, Trek to Yomi, Evil West appears to be oozing with style, sometimes quite literally. Using a set of absolutely visceral moves, you’ll move from place to place as you tear your opponents’ limb from limb and blast them down in a splash of blood. All of this, while potentially playing in co-op with a friend.

Evil West is set to come from critically-acclaimed developer Flying Wild Hog (best known for the Shadow Warrior series) alongside Focus Entertainment, who has published such greats as A Plague Tale: Innocence, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, World War Z, and many others! This unlikely pairing is set to take the third-person shooter space by storm, with a title that I’m most certainly excited about.

I’d love to hear your thoughts though. Will you be playing through Evil West on PC and consoles in September? Have you always been a fan of wild west games? Any other games from Focus Entertainment you hope to see soon? Let me know!
