Horror fans will have to wait a little longer to pick up Ash’s chainsaw, because Evil Dead: The Game has been delayed until February 2022. Originally, the game was set to release some time in 2021.

The delay for Evil Dead: The Game was announced on the game’s official Twitter page. “Evil Dead: The Game will be releasing in February 2022 Hey groovy gamers, we’re targeting a new release date to give the team some extra time for polish and to ensure this is the ultimate Evil Dead experience you’re all waiting for!”

The tweet went on to say, “This additional time is also allowing us to implement a single-player option that will let you enjoy the game when you are without your co-op compadres.”

The cult classic film-turned-game seems to work a lot like the popular Dead by Daylight, as the official description states:

The beloved Bruce Campbell is returning to reprise his role as Ash as well, as he said the following:

Evil Dead: The Game has been delayed until February 2022, and it will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Xbox One.
