Lost Ark features numerous continents and islands to explore in its vast MMO world. After completing East Luterra, this world opens up to you. While there is much to enjoy, Smilegate RPG is dedicated to adding more, starting with the new continent, South Vern.

As the first continent to be added to Lost Ark, there is a lot of excitement. We have compiled everything we know of South Vern in Lost Ark ahead of its unknown release date outside of April. You can find more information about Lost Ark in the recent roadmap on the Steam page.

What is South Vern in Lost Ark?

South Vern is a continent west of North Vern. It will be the highest level content you can experience in Lost Ark and will require you to have completed all story missions up to this point. The required level is 1,340, and it is the second Tier 3 continent. This continent will add a new Adventurer’s Tome, new dungeons, a world boss, and more.

Those who settled in South Vern borrowed technology and transformed the barren continent into a land of lush water and plants. However, this once peaceful continent is now facing a strange danger, and Queen Ealyn of Vern sends her Knight Commander Avele to South Vern to investigate.

The Korean version does not directly allow you to sail to South Vern, so the same process will likely carry over to the western version. Instead, you must speak to an NPC in North Vern’s Castle, who will ask you to complete a series of quests before you can travel to South Vern. But this is speculation, so you should check your journal before heading to either location.

South Vern takes approximately five hours in the Korean version, which may remain true once the new continent is added to the western release of Lost Ark. Upon completing the quests in South Vern, you will unlock a new and faster way to travel between North and South Vern, helping with long sailing times.
