Halo Infinite’s upcoming multiplayer event, Cyber Showdown, will feature new content and game modes for players to enjoy. The event has a neon cyberpunk-esque theme, with bright colors and glowing aesthetics taking the forefront.

What is the Cyber Showdown Event?

The Cyber Showdown event in Halo Infinite Multiplayer is an event bringing new weekly challenges, rewards, and game modes to the game. The event will be structured in a similar way to Halo Infinite’s previous two events, with event-specific challenges rewarding players with event-specific cosmetic items. The event was highlighted in an announcement video on the official Halo YouTube channel.

When does the Cyber Showdown Event take place?

Halo Infinite’s Cyber Showdown event will begin on January 18, 2022. There is no announced end date for the event. However, data leaks suggest that the event’s final day will be January 31, 2022, making this a two-week-long event, similar to December’s Winter Contingency event.

According to a data leak from Halo Infinite Leaks & News on Twitter, the Cyber Showdown event is set to include a new list of cosmetic items, some of which were teased in the official Halo Infinite | Cyber Showdown Teaser Trailer. The teaser showed a neon pink spiked helmet cosmetic and a rave-like visor cover, which fits in with the event’s neon “cyber” aesthetic. Players can expect new armor cosmetics, weapon skins, weapon charms, backdrops, and AI colors included in this event.

The event is also set to debut new game modes in Halo Infinite Multiplayer. Game modes called “King of the Hill” and “Attrition” are expected, the latter of which is assumed to be the answer to the elusive “Medic” achievement in Halo Infinite.
