They continued by saying that the Dancing With The Stars alum was surrounded by her closest friend while she fought with great strength. Kirstie was a good mom and grandma, as she once said in an interview. William and Lillie made sure to include that in their heartfelt tweet.
Kirstie’s kids concluded the post by stating that she inspired them to live life to the fullest. They also thanked everyone for their love and prayers and asked for privacy.
How Kirstie Had Her Children
The late Kirstie Alley, who passed away at 71, became a mother when she adopted her son William in 1992. She shared her son with her then-husband, Parker Stevenson. Two years later, their daughter Lillie joined the family via adoption, making a total of four.

Despite the couple’s divorce in 1997, they still shared joint custody of their kids. Before her marriage to Parker, the Drop Dead Gorgeous actress was married to Bob Alley. The pair had no biological kids. Hence, the reason why she and Parker resorted to adoption. Kirstie did not keep her fertility struggles a secret as she revealed that she had a miscarriage in 1990 after being pregnant for three months. She disclosed in her 2005 book how she experienced emotional and physical struggles following the loss of her baby.
More About The Late Kirstie Alley’s Son William
Kirstie and Parker adopted William two years after her miscarriage. The couple adopted William only a week after his birth and mostly kept details about his life private. Just as his parents had started, William kept his personal affairs private. However, he reportedly fell in love young and married his high school sweetheart at 17 with Kirstie’s approval.
In 2016, he eventually welcomed a boy he named Waylon Trip Parker. Shortly after Waylon’s birth, proud mom Kirstie took to social media to gush over her grandson by sharing several photos of him. Kirstie also praised William calling him “an excellent dad.”
More About Lillie
Kirstie and Parker welcomed Lillie in 1992. Just like William, Lillie kept her life private. She did, however, accompany her mother to several red carpet events, including the Sydney White movie premiere in 2007 and a charity event in 2011. Lillie reportedly started dating her boyfriend, Nick Trela, at 16.
Unfortunately, in 2014, Nick died in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles when Lillie was 20. That same year, Lillie announced her engagement to Chaffee Burkhart Graham. In May 2021, she gave birth to her son, Ripp Woodrow Graham.
While Kirstie’s death is saddening, her two children have only good memories of their mom.
