Today (September 13), Nintendo held their latest Nintendo Direct stream, and there was a lot packed into their 38-minute presentation. In case you don’t feel like spending nearly 40 minutes watching the entire thing, here is a list of all the major points hit during the stream, with clickable links where applicable in case you want to learn more about any particular announcements:
- Luigi’s Mansion 3 (working title) is currently in development for the Switch with a planned release in 2019.
- Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn, a port of the Wii’s Kirby’s Epic Yarn with extra content, is coming to the 3DS in 2019.
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey received the release date of January 11, 2019 for the 3DS.
- The Luigi’s Mansion 3DS port will have a local two-player mode.
- The recently released 3DS games Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and White Dog Squad will receive an update called Moon Rabbit Crew, which will add additional content, on September 27.
- Version 4.0 of Splatoon 2 is on its way.
- Mega Man 11 will be compatible with Mega Man amiibo figures and a demo is currently available on the Switch.
- New playable characters and a new mode are coming to Mario Tennis Aces on September 19.
- Final Fight, The King of Dragons, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, Warriors of Fate, Armored Warriors, and Battle Circuit are coming to the Switch in the Capcom Beat ’em Up Bundle on September 18.
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is coming to the Switch with new playable characters.
- A remastered version of Katamari Damacy called Katamari Damacy REROLL is coming to the Switch sometime this winter.
- Nintendo’s online service, Nintendo Switch Online, was discussed, but didn’t really give much new information that we didn’t already know.
- NES controllers for the Switch will be released, mostly for use playing NES games available to those who subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online.
- Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!‘s Secret Techniques, Exclusive Moves, and Switch bundles were discussed.
- Diablo III: Eternal Collection is coming to the Switch on November 2 and will include the Switch-exclusive Ganondorf armor.
- Super Mario Party will have a co-op mode, character-specific dice blocks, 80 new minigames, new single-player modes, and an online mode.
- Game Freak is making a non-Pokémon RPG called Town that takes place entirely in a single village and is set for release in 2019.
- Cities: Skylines is available for the Switch starting today and includes its “After Dark” and “Snowfall” DLC packs.
- Daemon X Machina will allow you to equip your mech with parts and weapons acquired from enemies, as well as being able to enhance your human character. The game will also contain a four-player online co-op mode. It will launch sometime in 2019.
- The Yoshi Switch game is officially titled Yoshi’s Crafted World and will release sometime in the spring of 2019.
- Asmodee is bringing the tabletop games Carcassonne, coming this December, The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, coming next April, and Pandemic, coming next March, to the Switch. Catan and Munchkin are also coming to the Switch eventually.
- Civilization VI is coming to the Switch with four-player local multi-player on November 16.
- Falco, Peppy, Slippy, and Wolf will appear alongside Fox McCloud in the Switch-exclusive Star Fox missions in Starlink: Battle for Atlas.
- Reminder that The World Ends With You: Final Remix is coming to the Switch on October 12.
- Reminder that the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion Torna: The Golden Country is coming on September 21, but will be available to Expansion Pass holders on September 14.
- Warframe is coming to the Switch on November 20.
- Just Dance 2019 is coming to the Switch on October 23.
- FIFA 19 is coming to the Switch on September 28.
- Team Sonic Racing is coming to the Switch sometime this winter.
- NBA 2K19 is available on the Switch now.
- NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is coming to the Switch sometime this fall.
- Lego DC Super-Villains is coming to the Switch on October 16.
- A whole lot of Final Fantasy games are coming to the Switch.
- A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch bundle is coming in November.
- Animal Crossing‘s Isabelle was confirmed as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- A new Animal Crossing game is coming to the Switch in 2019.
