Cuphead, a new Zelda spin-off, and more.
Today (March 20), Nintendo held a Nindies Showcase presentation, showcasing a number of indie games coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. If you don’t feel like sitting through the entire 25-minute video, here’s all the main points that were discussed (alternatively, you can also watch the full video at the bottom of this article):
- Run ‘n gun platformer Cuphead is coming to the Switch on April 18 and is currently available for pre-purchase.
- Post-apocalyptic strategy game Overland is coming to the Switch sometime this fall.
- Side-scrolling action game My Friend Pedro is coming to the Switch in June.
- Play as the last human ride share driver in a dystopian future in Neo Cab, which is coming to the Switch this summer.
- The Red Lantern is a narrative-driven adventure game about dog sledding that is coming to the Switch sometime this year.
- Top-down, procedurally generated survival horror game Darkwood is coming to the Switch in May.
- Stylish side-scrolling action game Katana Zero will be available on the Switch on April 18 and is currently available for pre-purchase.
- Double Fine is teaming up with publisher Bandai Namco to bring action-adventure game Rad to the Switch this summer.
- Creature in the Well, a pinball-inspired action-adventure game, is coming to the Switch this summer.
- Combo-heavy, top-down action game Bloodroots is coming to the Switch this summer.
- Open-world, action-adventure fantasy game Pine is coming to the Switch in August.
- Super Crate Box is getting ported to the Switch, with a multiplayer mode exclusive to the Nintendo console.
- Roguelike Nuclear Throne is available for the Switch starting today.
- Vlambeer Arcade will be a collection of small, arcade-like games that will grow to include more games over time. The first game in the collection will be Ultra Bugs, a retro, bullet hell-inspired shooter. Vlambeer Arcade will launch on the Switch with Ultra Bugs sometime this year.
- Multiplayer 2D shooter Swimsanity is coming to the Switch this summer.
- Blaster Master Zero 2 launches on the Nintendo Switch today.
- Isometric action game Stranger Things 3: The Game is coming to the Switch on July 4, the same day the new season of the show premieres.
- A number of indie games are on sale at the Nintendo Switch eShop starting today.
- New Crypt of the Necrodancer game / Legend of Zelda spin-off Cadence of Hyrule is coming to the Switch this spring.
