Mega Man games are known for three things: Hectic platforming action, challenging bosses who each have their own weaknesses, and unique weapons.
Mega Man 11 is no different. It comes packed with eight Robot Masters waiting for you at the end of the eight available stages. There are also a selection of bosses awaiting those who run the end-game gauntlet in Wily’s Lair.
After defeating each of the Robot Masters, you’re given their powerful weapons to use and help you progress through the game. Certain weapon powers, however, are incredibly effective against another one of the Robot Masters.
Robot Master and Boss Weakness
To help you exploit the weaknesses of various bosses in the game, we’ve created a list of their fatal flaws.

- Weakness: Blast Man (Chain Blast)
Fuse Man
- Weapon: Scramble Thunder
- Weakness: Bounce Man (Bounce Ball)
Blast Man

- Weakness: Block Man (Block Dropper)
Tundra Man

- Weakness: Fuse Man (Scramble Thunder)

Bounce Man
- Weapon: Bounce Ball
- Weakness: Impact Man (Pile Driver)
Most Robot Masters are weak against a single weapon type that makes battles easier. Each weapon has a specific amount of ammo, though, so be sure to keep an eye on that unless you want to go up against each Robot Master with just the standard Mega Buster.
Some weapons will also stun Masters completely, such as Block Man’s weapon on Acid Man, which lowers his shield and makes him extremely vulnerable.
If you plan your moves carefully, you could pick up a single weapon at the start of the game (such as Block Man’s) and then fight against the Robot Master that’s weak against that specific weapon. You can then rinse and repeat this method to finish the game quickly.
Boss weaknesses
- Yellow Devil: Charged Mega Buster
- Wily 1: Blast Man (Chain Blast)
- Wily 2: Acid Man (Acid Barrier)
After beating the eight Robot Masters, you’ll enter the end-game gauntlet, which includes new bosses with their own weaknesses.
Most weapons seem to work on the Yellow Devil, but the classic-charged Mega Buster is still the ideal way to deal some damage. Its eye will only open for a split second between phases, so the charged shot will help chip it down.
With Wily 1, you’ll want to ride the missiles he fires at you to get in range and then shoot as many bombs at the vehicle as possible to deal a bunch of damage. For Wily 2, use your slowdown ability to get a better angle and pelt him with as much Acid from Acid Man’s Barrier Shooter to complete the game.
