Epic Games have officially announced on its blog that achievements will be coming to the Epic Games Store. The aptly named Epic Achievements will only be in a couple of games when it goes live. The games listed on the blog are Rocket League, Hades, Pillars of Eternity, Kena, Zombie Army 4, and Alan Wake Remastered.
Epic Games promises more games will gain Epic Achievements later on. Though Epic Games gave no exact date, the Epic Achievements is stated to go live next week.
The games that will receive Epic Achievements will have a new Achievements page that players can track all achievements. Progress on players’ achievements can be displayed in the players’ libraries. Players can find all available achievements on the Game Detail Pages found in the store. Epic Games says that they will reveal more information on new social features and player rewards later in the year.
Each Epic Achievement will reward players XP, and each achievement is ranked in a tier system that determines how much XP is rewarded. The higher the rank, the higher the XP. The Bronze tier will only reward players around 5 to 45 XP. The Silver tier rewards players between 50 to 95 XP. The Gold tier will reward players 100 to 200 XP. And finally, the Platinum Tier will reward players a whopping 250 XP.
