One of the biggest news at The Game Awards 2018’s been the first lineup of titles coming to the Epic Games Store.
The store is set to be a competitor to Steam on the PC platform, is coming to Android devices, and offers developers a 88% share on profits (12%+ than Valve).
For what matters consumers, Epic has announced the store will be offering two free games per month thanks to partnerships with specific developers.
The first two games have already been announced and those are likely titles you won’t want to miss on your PC.
The first free game is Subnautica, available from December 14 – 27. It just released on PS4 and Xbox One, and looks fantastic.
The title is followed by Super Meat Boy from December 28 until January 10, 2019. It’s set to be a good tool to beat the hype for Forever’s 2019 release.
The Epic Games Store is also being populated with other games to be sold as in a regular online retailer. Hades by Supergiant Games, Ashen by Annapurna/A44, and Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek by tinyBuild are now available, but more are on their way.
