Popular bullet hell roguelike Enter The Gungeon has officially passed three million copies sold! This information comes in over three years since the original launch of the game, being roughly a million a year on average. The news was released through a tweet created by the official Dodge Roll twitter account. This is huge for both Dodge Roll and publisher Devolver Digital, though not unsurprising. The game is a high-quality bullet hell roguelike and is published by a well-regarded publisher. We give a massive congratulations to the teams at Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital for reaching such a tremendous achievement.

What is Enter The Gungeon?

When Enter The Gungeon released, it was very well regarded by critics around the world. It’s been praised for its plethora of content, excellent enemy design, and beautiful art. In the game, you play as different characters, each with their own passive ability. You must venture through each floor, taking out many enemies and acquiring a ton of loot. You could get something as simple as a heart container, which gives you an extra life. On the other end, you could get a gun that has a baseball cap and a skateboard. What more could you ask for from a game, really? You’ll definitely want to look into this if you’re into bullet hells or roguelikes, as there’s a lot to love here. The game is available for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One for $20.

That’s not all, though. Dodge Roll currently has an arcade cabinet in development for Enter The Gungeon: House of the Gundead. You can expect to see those in arcades early this year. There’s also Exit The Gungeon, a bullet hell dungeon climber as a sequel to Enter The Gungeon. This is currently available on Apple Arcade, but it’s coming to PC and consoles early this year. A ton of Gungeon news for fans to look out for.

This, of course, isn’t our only gaming news today. The Nintendo Switch Pro (if reports are to be believed) will release mid-2020. We’ll update you as more news is revealed on that.
