It looks like Battlefield 3 Premium is official. A recent fact-sheet has substantiated the rumors about a premium content announcement headed down the line for Battlefield 3 fans at E3 2012.
Just yesterday, the EU PlayStation Blog accidentially posted a blurb about the Battlefield Premium offering. Figuring that they can’t keep playing dumb, Electronic Arts has officially confirmed the upcoming content bundle. After incessant hounding EA finally caved: “Looks like the excitement for Battlefield Premium cannot be contained. For details, please visit Battlefield.com on June 4.”
Here’s the full run-down of a recently leaked fact sheet for the content:
Containing a staggering amount of new and themed content, Battlefield 3 Premium is an innovative new offering that provides players the opportunity to play all upcoming expansion packs early, increase their soldier customization options, and receive a number of exclusive in-game items – all for a one-time fee of $49.99.
Membership includes all five themed expansion packs for Battlefield 3 – including two weeks’ early access. Members will receive a host of unique in-game items not available anywhere else, including the ACB-90 knife, a set of dog tags, and exclusive soldier and weapon camos. Battlefield 3 Premium members will also get access to powerful new features such as the ability to reset stats, queue priority into servers, and new decals for Platoon emblems.
Whether players are looking to stand out with unique in-game items, early game access, or to use powerful new features, Battlefield 3 Premium gives an unprecedented multiplayer experience.
We’ll have more information for you when EA reveals their official features list for the content, but it looks like what’s already been leaked will at least be close to the final product being offered here.
