The introduction of the Deadlands DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online includes a massive amount of new content for users to tackle in a new region. The Deadlands Oblivion plane is the final frontier for dedicated Elder Scrolls fans. The DLC is a direct sequel and conclusion of Elder Scrolls Online‘s 2021 Gates of Oblivion plot, ending in Mehrunes Dagon’s climactic showdown. Now, all you might need to know is how to start this fateful DLC. Here is your answer.

Beginning the Deadlands DLC in Elder Scrolls Online

Before deciding to enter the lands of Oblivion, players must own the Deadlands DLC to access it. ESO Plus, a monthly membership service offered by The Elder Scrolls Online, grants users access to every DLC excluding the latest released Chapter. Because Deadlands is not a chapter, ESO Plus members will be able to play it right away when it launches.

Players who do not have access to ESO Plus will have to buy the DLC separately for 2000 Crowns (~$20). Do this in the in-game Crown market.

Once the money part has been solved, the heroes can easily reach the Deadlands region in two ways.

1. Travel through the Stories menu

Every DLC expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online can now be found in the new Quest Starter. Go to the Collections tab of the menu and choose the Stories option to begin the Deadlands DLC. Under the Zone DLC area, find the Deadlands DLC starter.

You’ll discover a range of quest starters for zones around The Elder Scrolls Online here. Look for the one named The Celestial Palanquin, which gives the player a quick summary and overview before sending them to the Deadlands. Afterward, they will begin the Gates of Oblivion story’s last questline.

2. Travel to Fargrave

The Fargrave Wayshrine is another good place to start your adventure in The Elder Scrolls Online‘s Deadlands DLC. Make the trip out to the region of Nirn and select the Deadlands or Fargrave spheres on the bottom right of Tamriel. Do this to access the Deadlands map. Afterward, the first Wayshrine can be located immediately outside Fargrave’s main entrance. It is near the Deadlands’ first quest.
