If you’ve been waiting to play Elder Scrolls: Blades on your mobile device, then all you will need to do is have a Bethesda account! Jump in and join in on some of the fun with the game. While it suffers from some unfortunate microtransactions, it is still pretty fun to play. You can go dungeon hunting, and build up your town!

If you are just starting out in the game, be sure to check out all of our guides!

Update (4/11/2019): Looks like the new update is coming that will make Silver Chests only take an hour to open! Wood and Elder Chests will now be available has a job reward, Silver Chests will no longer appear in the Abyss, and a couple more changes! The update is live now, you just need to open up the app and it will download it to your device!

Thank you for playing The Elder Scrolls: Blades and helping us make changes during this Early Access period. We’ve updated the following:

  • Silver Chests! These now only take one hour to open, or 12 Gems. (They were 3 hours and 36 gems before). Wood Chests and Elder Chests have been added to Job rewards. Elder Chests are extremely rare, but possible. Silver Chests no longer appear in the Abyss. Adjusted Abyss floors below your level to reward more experience points. Added confirmation for any Gem use above 11, so you don’t accidentally use higher amounts.

Thanks again and keep sending us your feedback. We can’t believe how many of you are playing, and playing a lot! We’ll have more changes during Early Access as we tune and balance the game. Stay tuned!

If you have been playing, then you no doubt understand the plight of the Silver Chest. It looks like Bethesda has heard your call, and will be looking to rebalance the mechanic and hopefully either reduces their time to open, or allows you to at the very least get rid of some chests easily (selling them for gold hopefully). Unfortunately, there’s no word on how or when they are going to make these changes, but we’ll report back to you when we find out!
