Somber Smithing Stones are essential for upgrading your special weapons. Special weapons are rare and mostly drop after you defeat a boss. These weapons have their own perks, so it makes sense that upgrading them would be more complex and time-consuming than standard weapons. Finding Somber Smithing Stones is tricky, but finding the (6) is almost impossible. By finding and obtaining this stone, your weapon’s damage will be increased, which will help fight tougher boss fights in the future.

There are two locations where you can find and obtain the variant (6) of Smithing Stone. The first one comes with its trouble, so you might prefer this route if you want to kill some enemies alongside getting the stone. First, go to the northwest of the Academy and along the main road in this part of the region.
