Sacred Tears are vital for survival in Elden Ring by increasing the amount of replenished HP and FP per Crimson or Cerulean Flask consumed. These Upgrade Materials cannot be crafted or purchased from NPC merchants, making them precious and rare. Furthermore, Tarnished adventurers can only find twelve in their journey through the Lands Between, which makes finding the locations of the Sacred Tears paramount before venturing more challenging areas. Fortunately, they are only found within identifiable churches throughout the regions, but not every church will have one available. Therefore, Tarnished travelers will need to learn where they can collect every Sacred Tear in Elden Ring.

All Twelve Sacred Tear Locations in Elden Ring

Before naming every church in Elden Ring that has an available Sacred Tear, Tarnished should recognize how many can be found within each region. Limgrave, the starting area, features four Sacred Tears, and Liurnia of the Lakes has three. Caelid only has one, and the Altus Plateau has two. Likewise, the Mountaintops of the Giants features only two Sacred Tears.

The first Sacred Tear’s location in Elden Ring is the Third Church of Marika in East Limgrave. This church is also where Tarnished will find the Flask of Wonderous Physick. The next three Sacred Tears are located in the southern sub-region of Limgrave, the Weeping Peninsula. One can be found in Callu Baptismal Church behind the Ailing Village. Another is in the Church of Pilgrimage at the peninsula’s northernmost point. Finally, the Fourth Church of Marika near the western coastline holds the fourth Sacred Tear.

Next, Liurnia’s first Sacred Tear is in the Church of Irith near the Lake-Facing Cliffs. Bellum Church in the north has the sixth tear, and the Church of Inhibition has the seventh. Both can be accessed by traveling south of the Grand Lift of Dectus. In Atlus Plateau, the Second Church of Marika holds a Sacred Tear, located northwest of the region’s Map Fragment. Tarnished can find the ninth tear in Stormcaller Church, which can be reached by going south off the road from the Rampartside Path.

Caelid’s only Sacred Tear in Elden Ring is in the Church of the Plague, where Millicent can first be found. As for the Mountaintops of the Giants, the First Church of Marika south of the Freezing Lake has the eleventh tear, and the Church of Repose near the Fire Giant’s slope has the last Sacred Tear in the Lands Between.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
