Even after going past the Capital City of Leyndell and through the Mountaintop of the Giants, players might still notice this big northern part of the Lands Between map that they have yet to explore. The only way for players to access this area known as the Consecrated Snowfield is to get both halves of the Haligtree Medallion. This item will take multiple hours to complete and is easily missable, with one of the pieces being found behind a boss battle. This guide will explain where to find both halves of the Haligtree Medallion in Elden Ring.

Where To Find Both Haligtree Medallion Halves In Elden Ring

The first half that you will likely come across is the right half of the Haligtree Medallion. You will find this item in the Village of the Albinaurics to the west of Liurnia of the Lakes. Make your way up the cliff into the hidden village and go to the left of the Site of Grace. You will face an enemy called a Perfumer. He has quick attacks and pyromancy, so be careful. Once defeated, you can find a little area behind him, pictured below. There will be a pot that is actually Albus, an NPC that had disguised himself. Talk to him, and he will give you the right half of the Haligtree Medallion.

The other half is found past the Capital City of Leyndell in the Mountaintop of the Giants. After defeating Morgott, The Omen King, at the base of the Great Erdtree in Leyndell, you will be given the Roid Medallion and will be able to access the Forbidden Lands. At the end of this area is the Lift of Rold, which will take you to the Mountaintop of the Giants. At the northmost part of this area is a castle named Castle Sol. Make your way through this area and defeat Commander Niall. You will find a chest in the area beyond his boss room that has the left half of the Haligtree Medallion.

Once you have both halves of the Haligtree Medallion, return to the Lift of Rold, the same lift that was used to take you to the Mountaintop of the Giants. Approach the Lift of Rold and select the prompt “Hold Up Secret Medallion.” This will bring you to a short dungeon called the Hidden Path to the Haligtree. Get through this dungeon, and you will arrive at the Consecrated Snowfield.
