Defeating demi-gods in Elden Ring will reward players with the enemy’s Remembrance. Players can use this key item to purchase the demi-gods’ armaments, acquire their weapons and learn their skills. The Remembrance of the Black Blade is one of these items that will grant players special skills.
You can acquire the Remembrance of the Black Blade by defeating Maliketh, a shadowbound demi-god located at the center of Crumbling Farum Azula. After slaying the enemy, players can use the Remembrance of the Black Blade in the following ways:
- Purchase the Maliketh’s Black Blade Colossal Sword (20000 Runes)Purchase Black Blade IncantationSell Remembrance for 30000 Runes
Players can visit Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold to purchase these items by using Remembrance of the Dragonlord. You can also duplicate the Remembrance by vising any of the Walking Mausoleums.
Players can also purchase the following armaments from Finger Reader Enia without using Remembrance of the Black Blade:
- Maliketh’s Armor (15000 Runes)Maliketh’s Helm (10000 Runes)Maliketh’s Gauntlet (10000 Runes)Maliketh’s Greaves (10000 Runes)
If players want a weapon with holy-based damage to support Strength, Dexterity, and Faith builds, then Maliketh’s Black Blade is a perfect choice. Although it cannot be infused with any Ash Of War, the sword’s special skill Destined Death summons a myriad of blades. This attack reduces the opponent’s maximum HP and consistently wears down their health for a short period.
Similarly, the Black Blade Incantation summons illusory blades that slash the enemy by emitting waves of light. This Incantation uses two Memory Slots, and players will need to have a Faith level of 46 to use it.
