Walking Mausoleums are massive turtle-like entities in Elden Ring that serve as a way to duplicate Remembrances obtained from bosses, such as Morgott the Omen King or Maliketh the Black Blade. Similar to the Boss Souls from previous Souls titles, these Remembrances can be either consumed for an abundance of Runes or exchanged with Enia in Roundtable Hold. Finger Reader Enia is a merchant who will trade Tarnished a specific Remembrance for a unique armament or Spell. If players wish to acquire another item from the same boss’s Remembrance, they will need to visit one of the Walking Mausoleums in the Lands Between.

How Do Walking Mausoleum Work In Elden Ring

Tarnished adventurers can find seven Walking Mausoleums in the Lands Between. Once Elden Ring players access a Mausoleum’s interior, they can duplicate a single Remembrance. There are fifteen Remembrances in the game, meaning that Tarnished can only reproduce seven, correlating with the number of Mausoleums available.

Elden Ring: Castle Sol Walkthrough

To enter a Walking Mausoleum’s duplication chamber in Elden Ring, Tarnished pilgrims must destroy the white skull-shaped barnacles around the giant’s feet. Be careful not to be trampled or jumped on during this process. Once all the skulls have been cleared away, the Mausoleum will fall to the ground, allowing players to enter and duplicate their Remembrance in Elden Ring.

Keep in mind that the skulls of the bell-wielding Walking Mausoleums of Liurnia of the Lakes and Deeproot Depths are located atop the creature’s body. To reach these elevated areas, players will need to ride Torrent and utilize the nearby environment to leap onto the Mausoleum. Once atop the beast, smash away the white mire to unlock the interior chamber.

Below are all the locations of the Walking Mausoleums in Elden Ring:

  • Weeping Peninsula – east of Isolated Merchant’s Shack
  • Liurnia of the Lakes – northeast of Raya Lucaria
