Elden Ring has just debuted earlier today, with plenty of fans jumping in to experience the story of the Tarnished and hunt for the elusive Elden Ring. With a wide, expansive world for players to explore, you’ll be sinking your teeth into the Lands Between for many hours to come. While many of you are excited to hop in and enjoy it, some of you are also getting an error titled “Network status check failed”, particularly when trying to engage in online activities. Now, before you continue scouring the internet searching for whatever solution you can find, you may want to hold off. See, the network status check failed error simply can’t be fixed by you because it isn’t your fault. Instead, it’s at the fault of the Elden Ring servers being under extreme load. As Elden Ring is arguably one of the largest games to launch this year (and in February no less), the game is seeing a gargantuan amount of players online at once. Steam alone has seen a peak player count of around 750K players, and that’s not taking into account Xbox or PlayStation. As such, From Software’s servers can’t handle such a hefty load and are cracking under pressure, causing these problems.
