For many new Elden Ring players starting the game, choosing a beginning class can seem daunting. However, for many, the Samurai Class in Elden Ring is an excellent choice for its versatile playstyle of hitting enemies from afar with the bow and then using the katana when they get close. Not only that, but the Samurai Class starts off the game with an incredible armor set and an incredible ability, unsheathe. However, there is always room to improve so players can scavenge the Lands Between. So for fans looking to ride into battle in true samurai style, here is the best Samurai Build in Elden Ring.

Best Elden Ring Samurai Loadout

Armor for Best Samurai Build in Elden Ring

Of the few Samurai Armor sets in the game, the Elden Ring Ronin set is the best in comparison. The whole set has a physical damage negation of 23, strike and pierce negation of 23, and magic of 25.6. Luckily, there are various ways that fans can get this armor.

Gamers can either complete Yura’s questline in Elden Ring, which starts with players’ first encounter with him near Merkwater Cave. Gamers will then go on multiple quests to help him hunt down Bloody Fingers. Eventually, players will be able to find him at the Zamor Ruins site of grace in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

If fans want, they can also ignore his entire questline and come straight to this location. Once here, players will find out that Yura has been possessed and will have the option to kill him. Defeat him, and the armor set will be up for grabs.

Katana for Best Samurai Build in Elden Ring

The best bet will be to go with the Rivers of Blood weapon for the katana. This is the only katana that scales with strength, dexterity, and even arcane. It is graded E for arcane, D for dexterity, and D for strength. It requires 12 strength, 18 dexterity, and 20 arcane to wield the weapon.

To get the Rivers of Blood, gamers will need to defeat the NPC “Bloody Finger Okina,” who spawns near the Church of Repose in the eastern portion of the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Best Bow

Currently, the best bow in Elden Ring is the Pulley Bow. It has the longest range of its weapon type with a stat of 55, picking enemies off from a greater distance. This weapon can be found off one of the corpses near the Bridge of Iniquity by Mt. Gelmir.

Best Talismans

Based on playstyle, gamers can get two different talismans for their Samurai Build in Elden Ring. If players prefer to pick off most of their enemy’s health with the Long Bow should go with the Arrow’s Reach Talisman. This Talisman enhances the distance of long-range shots and can help gamers avoid more damage.

For Samurai that like to get up close and personal, the Axe Talisman is great since it increases the damage output of charged attacks. When coupled with the Unshethe skill, this can mean severe damage to bosses. Not only that, but the Axe talisman increases the chance to stagger enemies.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
