Seethewater Cave is a Dungeon in Elden Ring found in Mt. Gelmir that contains the Mushroom Armor Set and Kindred of Rot’s Exultation. Mushroom Armor is a collection of armor pieces that offer substantially high Immunity and Vitality, making it an excellent set for exploring rot-ridden locations. The Kindred of Rot’s Exultation is a Talisman that increases attack power if a nearby entity is inflicted with Poison or Scarlet Rot. This Talisman is acquired from defeating the boss of Seethewater Cave, while the Mushroom Armor Set in Elden Ring can be found in a semi-hidden room within the poison swamp grotto. 

Completing Seethewater Cave in Elden Ring

Seethewater Cave can be found by following the Seethewater River directly northward from the river bank’s Site of Grace in Mt. Gelmir, Altus Plateau. To enter Seethewater Cave in Elden Ring, Tarnished will need two Stonesword Keys to break the fog seal at the entrance. The cave is filled with poison mire, so Neutralizing Boluses or Cure Poison is recommended.

After activating the Seethewater Cave’s Site of Grace, continue down the tunnel to the first poisonous swamp. Be careful of the Leyndell Soldier hiding in an alcove along the way. Drop to the marsh below and stay on the right side of the passageway until reaching a small waterfall of poison muck. Take the tunnel on the left and follow the path until encountering a Servant of Rot standing near a ledge. From here, head down the right shaft into a lair with a Giant Miranda Sprout. The lootable corpse beneath the monstrous flower has the Mushroom Armor Set in Elden Ring.

As mentioned above, the Kindred of Rot’s Exultation is acquired by defeating the boss of Seethewater Cave in Elden Ring. After the poisonous waterfall, head into the chamber on the right instead of the left. Drop down the deep hole and follow the passage to the boss room. The Elden Ring boss is a dual enemy, featuring two Kindred of Rot mobs. Once defeated, they will drop the Talisman.
