You might have heard of a little game recently called Elden Ring, with its huge popularity and exciting reviews. The release of this game hasn’t all been smooth sailing, and the publisher, Bandai Namco, has acknowledged the Elden Rings’ performance on PC by saying they will fix the issues as soon as possible. It wouldn’t be a long-awaited release without some technical issues now, would it?
Developers FromSoftware has already found success with their Dark Souls franchise as well as their Bloodborne titles. However, after releasing their new open-world spin-off, PC gamers noted several issues hampering their experiences when playing Elden Ring.
What are the issues with the Elden Ring’s Performance?
In a recent blog post, Bandai Namco has acknowledged that Elden Rings’ performances have not been up to scratch on PC, “We are currently experiencing some issues that are preventing the game from playing properly under some conditions,” a spokesperson said. To hopefully rectify the issues, the game publisher indicated that a patch would be coming out in the not-too-distant future. Frame rate stuttering, mouse sensitivity, and Easy Anti-Cheat failing to launch are the main problems mentioned. Additionally, a few more minor things are affecting the performance of the game. It’s not like they delayed the release date to give themselves extra breathing room, is it?
Bandai is trying to work on some other minor bugs as well to improve Elden Rings’ performance but is also advising PC gamers to update their graphics card drivers as a means of possibly improving the issues in the game. According to some very detailed Steam statistics, Elden Ring has already gained over 750,000 players on the platform alone. So, with it being the top-selling title on PC, you would have thought they could have foreseen these issues and maybe, just maybe, avoided this whole problem before it materialized.
