Mt Gelmir Walkthrough – Additional Areas/Loot

Besides what we laid out above, there are some additional loot and areas worth exploring in Mt Gelmir.

For instance, there are several scarabs around the region. Scarabs will either give you special items or refill your flask of tears. They do scamper off, so catch up to them fast if you want the rewards.

To start, there’s a Seethewater River Scarab that rewards Ash of War – Barrage. You can find it on the path to the Seethewater Cave.

Another is the Volcano Manor Lava Bridge Scarab that gives Somber Smithing Stone 5. You’ll come across this after you defeat the Godskin Noble in Volcano Manor.

For another scarab, the Volcano Manor Prison Church Scarab, head to the Prison Church open area. From there, the scarab sits on a low rooftop that’s just above the Omenkiller. You’ll get the Somber Smithing Stone 5.

Lastly, there’s the Volcano Path Invisible Scarab. You can find this before even reaching the Manor. If you go to the area with hanging bodies and Marionette Soldiers, look out for a white trail. This is the scarab. It’ll reward Ash of War – Through and Through.

Also, you need to find a Map Fragment in Mt Gelmir. It’s one of three fragments. As such, getting all of them is the only way you can reveal all of the details on the map of the Altus Plateau.

So, to find this one, take the twisting path toward Volcano Manor. From there, the Map Stele is located on the road below the manor.
