The “Bird Farm” in Elden Ring is a Rune-farming exploit in which Tarnished adventurers fire arrows at a Giant Crow in Mohgwyn Palace. If shot correctly from a specific point on a distant cliff, the high-level bird will aggro onto the player but fall to its death into the abyss below, as it’s incapable of flying. A nearby Site of Grace can be used to reload the area and respawn the Giant Crow. As a result, Rune farmers can earn tens of thousands of Runes per minute simply by using a bow and arrows from this “Bird Farm” spot in Elden Ring.
How to Get to the Mohgwyn Palace Bird Farm in Elden Ring
There are two ways to get to the Bird Farm in Mohgwyn Palace in Elden Ring. First, players can gain access to the Consecrated Snowfield in the Mountaintops of the Giants. Here, travelers can find a Sending Gate which teleports them to the farming location. On the other hand, progressing through Varré’s questline will also grant access to Mohgwyn Palace.

White-Faced Varré, also known as White Mask Varré, is the NPC whom Tarnished will encounter at the beginning of their adventure at The First Step. His quest starts with tasking the protagonist with defeating Godrick the Grafted in Stormveil. If Tarnished speak with him after the battle, he will compel them to visit the Roundtable Hold. Next, Varré will relocate to the Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes after the player has talked with Enia.
Find Varré at the Rose Church to have him give the protagonist five Festering Bloody Fingers. Use three of them and speak to him afterward. He will then provide the player a cloth called the Lord of Blood’s Favor, which must be soaked in the blood of a Finger Maiden. This cloth can be used with the maiden corpse at the Church of Inhibition in northeastern Liurnia. Return the quest item to Varré, and he will bestow Tarnished with the Pureblood Knight’s Medal, which will teleport players to Mohgwyn Palace.
After arrival, Elden Ring Tarnished can get to the Bird Farm location by riding to a Grace on the southeast side of the Mohgwyn Palace map. The Site of Grace is called Palace Approach Ledge-Road, where players can begin farming Runes with the Giant Crow.
Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
