Elden Ring has a wide range of weapons for the player to experiment with, from curved swords to blunt hammers to magic casting staff. One such class of weapon is known as Colossal Weapons, large behemoths that take more than a mere mortal to wield. One of the best weapons found in this class is known as the Godslayer’s Greatsword. To use this incredible weapon, players will need to have their Strength and Faith stats at level 20 and their Dexterity stat at level 22. In addition, players will also need to know where to find the spiral-bladed sword as it is hidden away far off the beaten path in one of the game’s harder zones. This guide will show players how to get the Godslayer’s Greatsword in Elden Ring.

How To Get The Godslayer’s Greatsword In Elden Ring

To get your hands on the Godslayer’s Greatsword, players will first need to descend deep into the Divine Tower of Caelid. These Divine Towers are the locations where you will need to take Great Runes to return power to them, with most of them simply being an elevator that takes you to the top of the structure where you can restore the Rune. Caelid’s Divine Tower is slightly different as there is also a separate path that will take players down beneath the tower. You will need to do some platforming to get into the tower, which will only become more prevalent once you get inside. From the Divine Tower of Caelid: Center Site of Grace, take the staircase down to a landing overlooking multiple walkways and beams leading down into the tower’s interior. Follow the path down into the tower until you find an elevator that will bring you back up to a different landing. To the left of this elevator, there will be a hallway for you to go down. Still, it is important that you first climb a nearby ladder and open a door at the top, as this will provide you with a shortcut if you happen to die so that you will not need to do the first platforming section again. Back at the bottom of the ladder, continue down the hallway and defeat the powerful enemy there. Past this enemy is a landing that you can walk across until you are directly over another walkway similar to the one pictured below. When you jump onto it, it will break, and you will fall to another elevator, which will then take you down to the basement of the tower and a new Site of Grace, so you don’t need to do all that platforming again. Now, The Godslayer’s Greatsword is within reach.

Beyond this new Site of Grace is a boss fight against a Godskin Apostle, a recurring fight that sees the enemy utilizing the black flame magic and a twinblade called the Godskin Peeler. This enemy is strong to many ailments but is weak to bleed damage, so make sure you use this to your advantage and watch out for his second phase as he gets new long-range abilities and attacks. Once you defeat the Godskin Apostle, make your way to the next room, which will have a lone chest for you to open. Within this chest is where you will find the Godslayer’s Greatsword.
