There are many kinds of weapons in Elden Ring, and one that’s considered to be the best in the Curved Greatsword type is the Bloodhound’s Fang. It can quickly deal massive damage, and not to mention that it also has Bleed passive effect; what’s not to like? If you like to lug around a big, curved sword to defeat any enemies standing in your way, here’s how you can obtain the Bloodhound’s Fang.
Where to Get Bloodhound’s Fang in Elden Ring
Technically speaking, finding Bloodhound’s Fang is pretty straightforward. All you need to do is to defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil inside the Forlon Hound Evergaol at Stormhill. Below is the Curved Greatsword’s description and default stats.
Attack:
- Physical: 141
- Crit: 100
Requirements:
- Strength: 18
- Dexterity: 17
Scaling:
- Strength: D
- Dexterity: C
However, beating the Bloodhound Knight is another story since he is really fast and aggressive. We have an excellent article on how to beat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, so don’t forget to check out our Elden Ring guide to prepare you for getting the Curved Greatsword. But this is pretty much the gist of the fight:
- He will use his quick Bloodhound’s Step move to close distances.
- Be prepared to dodge when he starts to move towards you while dragging his claw.
- After the first hit of his three-hit combos, the second attack/follow-up is delayed to throw you off.
- Bloodhound Knight Darriwil has low poise and can be staggered for massive damage.
- Although like other Evergaol bosses, you can’t summon help, you can still bring an NPC into this fight by completing the “Blaidd the Half-Wolf” Questline first.
Don’t forget; you can only upgrade unique armaments like this one using Somber Smithing Stones. Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
