The variety of weapons in Elden Ring is enormous, with several different classes allowing you to experiment with vastly different playstyles. One of these classes is the bows, which let you pick off enemies and chip away at health from a safe distance. The Black Bow is on the more powerful end of the bows available and is relatively easy to get if you know exactly where to go. It is a weapon that scales with Strength and Dexterity and works very well with most builds. While the Black Bow is simple to attain, the path you need to take is specific and can be missed. In this guide, you will learn exactly what path you need to take and how to get the Black Bow in Elden Ring.
How To Get The Black Bow In Elden Ring
In order to be able to acquire the Black Bow, you will first need to have access to Leyndell, The Royal Capital, so decent progress into the game should be expected. The closest Site of Grace fast travel point to the Black Bow is near the center of the map at the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. Once you arrive at this Site of Grace, face the road and head down the stairs towards a brass-colored open gate. The moment you pass this gate, take a sharp right and head right to the railing, and you should be careful and look for an area you can drop down to on the right-most corner. Make sure to move quickly as a couple of Leyndell Knights will be patrolling and can easily overwhelm you if not careful. Drop to the second level down, keep right around a corner, and up a short set of stone steps of which you will turn left as soon as you reach the top. You should be seeing a terrifying amount of burned bodies littering the ground, signaling that you are headed in the right direction. Keep alert as if you stray around several Claymen will start to spawn and try to beat the ever-golden grace out of you.

After a short jog, there will be another slightly longer set of stairs leading upwards and into a large building. Go up the steps to the mid-section where it takes a slight turn in its trajectory. Turn around and gain some momentum to jump onto the low roof on the right (if you are now facing down the steps). If you manage to make it up there, keep the momentum as you head directly southwest and jump between the rooftops until you come across the purple item indicator for a unique pickup. From here on out, it is as simple as interacting with the item, and the Black Bow will be yours to use as you conquer The Lands Between in Elden Ring.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
