Like every other Soulsborne game, Elden Ring includes many unique boss fights that require some time to learn the weaknesses of each boss and develop an effective strategy to defeat them. Valiant Gargoyle is one of the duo bosses of Elden Ring that requires a specific strategy to defeat them. So here is the guide on how to defeat the Valiant Gargoyle in Elden Ring.
How to Defeat the Valiant Gargoyle in Elden Ring
Valiant Gargoyle is found in the Siofra Aqueduct area of Nokron, Eternal City. The main challenge of defeating the Valiant Gargoyle is when another boss appears halfway through a fight, leaving you to fight two Valiant Gargoyle.
The first phase of this boss is not that hard, although, like every other boss fight in Elden Ring, it’s best to be careful. The first thing you want to do is attack the first Valiant Gargoyle, dealing as much damage as possible while looking for a stagger. Once the second boss, Valiant Gargoyle (Twinblade), arrives, you can finish the first one quickly. Their attacks are easily dodgeable, but be aware of the Poison it spits out.
Use Summon Spirits, like the Jellyfish Ashes, for example, once the Valiant Gargoyle (Twinblade) arrives. That way, it would remain distracted by that while you finish the first Valiant Gargoyle. If you can’t stop the first one by then, keep both Gargoyles on the screen, making it easier to dodge most of their attacks.
Once you’ve defeated the first Valiant Gargoyle, the fights become easy. The second Valiant Gargoyle switches between a Twinblade and a Great Axe. Try to avoid attacking the gargoyle while it’s using a Twinblade since fighting it with Great Axe is much easier. Once again, consider Summon Spirits while fighting it. After defeating the second gargoyle, you will attain 32,000 Runes and unlock the Valiant Gargoyle Trophy.
Elden Ring is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
