To unlock the “Age of Order” ending in Elden Ring, Tarnished pilgrims must complete Goldmask’s questline, which can be begun once the protagonist has arrived in the Atlus Plateau. After activating the Grand Lift of Dectus or completing the Ruin-Strewn Precipice, Brother Corhyn of the Roundtable Hold will tell the player that he is going on a journey to find someone named Goldmask. This mysterious figure is located near the end of the broken bridge above the Road of Iniquity Side Path. After finding Goldmask, go to Brother Corhyn at the Altus Plateau Map Fragment to continue the questline.
Completing the Goldmask Questline in Elden Ring
Once Tarnished reveal Goldmask’s location to Brother Corhyn in Altus Plateau, they must return to the Road of Iniquity’s broken bridge to find the two NPCs standing together. Afterward, Elden Ring players can proceed to the next area in Goldmask’s questline in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
Elden Ring: The Best Arcane Build
Keep in mind that Brother Corhyn is not required to progress Goldmask’s story in Elden Ring, but he does help in understanding why the mysterious figure moves to a specific location. Regardless, the questline’s next step is meeting Corhyn and Goldmask atop an off-road hilltop near Leyndell’s colosseum. To get to this spot, players must start from the West Capital Rampart and head down the path towards the Erdtree Sanctuary. However, instead of climbing the tree branch, they need to take the road to the stadium and turn left at the second hill on the curving stairway.
Brother Corhyn will explain that he and Goldmask are stumped by an obscure riddle regarding Radagon’s true identity. To further progress Goldmask’s questline in Elden Ring, players must use the Law of Regression Incantation learned from the Golden Order Principia. This spellbook is located in the small throne above the large branch in the Erdtree Sanctuary. Cast this spell in front of the Radagon statue in Leyndell to transform it and then return to Goldmask.
Next, the Corhyn and Goldmask can be found on the bridge directly above the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins in the Mountaintops of the Giants. After speaking with them, complete the Crumbling Farum Azula Legacy Dungeon and then return to the Ashen Capital to find Goldmask’s body and Mending Rune beside a cliff near the Leyndell’s stadium.
