There are many small tunnels throughout Elden Ring that it is nearly impossible to discover everything in the first playthrough. And while most of these caves may seem inconsequential to some, many reward gamers with incredibly powerful Elden Ring weapons that can help them take down the tougher bosses. Gael Tunnel, home to the Moonveil Katana, is one of these mini-dungeons fans won’t want to miss. So for players wanting to make sure they find everything of value, here is an Elden Ring Gael Tunnel walkthrough.
Elden Ring Gael Tunnel Guide
Once gamers have reached the tunnel’s entrance, head inside and take out the two Caelid guards. Then, behind the wooden barrels on the left, jump down to the small ledge. A small tunnel will be adjacent to this with a Somber Smithing Stone 2. Exit the tunnel and jump down to the ledge on the left, and keep going down until fans reach the ground with the site of grace.
After this, head through the doorway and take out all the guards and mining enemies inside. It is recommended to use a weapon that deals strike damage on the miners, like the mace. Be sure to pick up the Golden Rune 5, Gold Pickled Fowl Foot, and the yellow smithing stone on the walls.
After that, go through the tunnel on the right from the base of the stairs. There will be a tough land octopus battle, especially since it’s in a tight space, so use long-ranged attacks if possible. Once it’s defeated, grab the Somber Smithing Stone 4, Cross Naginata, Smithing Stone 4, and silver fireflies from this room.
Head back out to the previous room and go through the other tunnel; a guard will be next to a ladder. Take it out, jump down, backstab the miner below, and be wary of the guard behind the ladder. Once they are taken care of, be sure to grab all the items here, such as the Grace mimic.
Go through the next tunnel and continue until there are two wooden doorways. Take the one going straight first since it leads to a smithing stone 4 and another site of grace. This will also be helpful, so if players lose to the Magma Wyrm, they won’t have to repeat the entire Elden Ring Gael Tunnel Guide. And now that fans are refreshed, they are going to want to go back inside and do the Magma Wrym boss fight.
This boss has a strong mix of long-range fire attacks and can demolish players at close range with its sword. Be sure to use summons to distract the Magma Wyrm and go for the legs to avoid most of its attacks. Just be careful when it spins quickly. Once it’s defeated, it will drop a dragon heart and the incredibly powerful Moonveil katana that scales with INT and DEX, thus ending the Elden Ring Gael Tunnel walkthrough.
Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
