Paintings are Info Items in Elden Ring found throughout the Lands Between that reward Tarnished for discovering the location of the Painting’s origin. Each Painting is connected to an artist that has long passed away, yet their spirit still lingers in the world of the living. Accordingly, players must first locate the Painting and then find where the illustration was painted, along with the artist’s ghost. Once discovered, the apparition will disappear, leaving behind a valuable item only obtainable by solving this treasure hunt-style puzzle. Elden Ring features seven Painting puzzles for Tarnished to decipher, several of which can be challenging to solve.

It is important to note that Elden Ring Tarnished do not need to find the exact angle from which a Painting was drawn. Instead, they only must search for the seated spirit of the artist to receive the reward and complete the puzzle.

  • Homing Instinct Painting: This Painting can be found in the Artist’s Shack of East Limgrave, and its artist is located southwest of Dragon-Burnt Ruins near Agheel Lake.
  • Prophecy Painting: This Painting can be found in a chamber near the northwestern courtyard of Stormveil, and its artist is located behind the Church of Pilgrimage in the Weeping Peninsula.
  • Resurrection Painting: This Painting can be found in the Artist’s Shack of East Liurnia, and its artist is located in the graveyard southeast of the Behind Caria Manor Site of Grace
  • Redmane Painting: This Painting can be found beneath an arch on the right of the main road in Sellia, the Town of Sorcery in Caelid, and its artist is located on the lower cliffs northeast of Fort Faroth, southeast of Dragonbarrow’s Minor Erdtree.
  • Champion’s Song Painting: This Painting can be found within a sunken house in the poison swamp on the east side of Altus Plateau’s Shaded Castle. Its artist is located southwest of the Rampartside Path Site of Grace atop the ridge where the battle with Ancient Dragon Lansseax occurs.
  • Flightless Bird Painting: This Painting can be found beside the Site of Grace within Fortified Manor of Leyndell, Royal Capital. Its artist is located near the southeastern cliffs of Windmill Heights in Altus Plateau.
  • Sorcerer Painting: This Painting can be found within the central building of Castle Sol, accessible through the roof from a ladder. Its artist is located southwest of Castle Sol along the bridge leading to the Stargazer’s Ruins in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
