To get the Legendary Ashen Remains in Elden Ring, players must search the Lands Between for six of the most powerful summonable Spirit Ash. Excluding the well-known Mimic Tear, each of the Legendary Ashen Remains is the spirit of a mighty fighter whose name carries a backstory, revealing insight into the world’s deep lore. Tarnished who summon these ghostly allies to accompany them into battle will certainly not be disappointed with their performance and capabilities. Keep in mind that Elden Ring fans may find more than six renowned Spirit Ashes on their journey. Still, only these six will unlock the in-game achievement, as their description explicitly states the spirit is “legendary.”
Every Legendary Ashen Remain in Elden Ring
As mentioned above, Elden Ring features six Legendary Ashen Remains that count towards the in-game achievement: Lhutel the Headless, Black Knife Tiche, Redmane Knight Ogha, Mimic Tear, Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff, and Cleanrot Knight Finlay. Excluding Lhutel, these Spirit Ashes are located in late-game areas, meaning Tarnished should ensure they progress through the world if they hope to find them.
Elden Ring: How to Complete Roderika’s Questline
First, to get the Legendary Spirit Ashes of Lhutel the Headless in Elden Ring, Tarnished must defeat the Cemetery Shade of the Tombsward Catacombs in the Weeping Peninsula. This dungeon is located along the west cliff wall of the sub-region’s Erdtree. Next, Black Knife Tiche can be obtained by vanquishing Alecto, the Black Knife Ringleader, at the Ringleader’s Evergaol. This Evergaol is on the plateau above the Village of the Albinaurics. To reach this area, Tarnished must reach the end of Ranni’s questline.
Redmane Knight Ogha is acquired from the Putrid Tree Spirit in the War Dead Catacombs, a dungeon that only becomes available once General Radahn has been defeated. The Mimic Tear is hidden in a chest locked behind an Imp Statue sealed door in the Night’s Sacred Ground of Nokron, Eternal City. Like the War Dead Catacombs, this area also becomes accessible once Radahn has been slain.
Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff is the fifth Legendary Spirit Ash in Elden Ring located at the end of Sainted Hero’s Grave, a dungeon that sits to the west of Leyndell’s outer walls. Finally, Cleanrot Knight Finlay is in a chest in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. This Legacy Dungeon can only be entered once players have found the two pieces of the Haligtree Secret Medallion. Once Tarnished have arrived at Elphael, they must start from the Prayer Room and get to a gazebo by following the pathway north. To the left of the gazebo, players will find a room with the sixth Legendary Ashen Remain in Elden Ring.
