Who doesn’t fancy a good old wild west adventure? It’s a genre less ventured but when it is, it’s always of excellent quality. I think Red Dead Redemption and the classic Call of Juarez are brilliant examples of that. Feeling like a wild west cowboy just never gets old. While this game is definitely of a much smaller scale, El Hijo is ready to bring itself into the fray and provide fans with something new. El Hijo, an indie western adventure title, releases on PC and Stadia on December 3! It’s also planned for consoles later on down the line. You can check out the game’s beautifully animated release date trailer below.
El Hijo follows the story of a six-year-old boy, desperate to reconnect with his mother. An evil group of outlaws has separated him from his friends and mother, leaving him as the only one able to rescue them. As he’s only six years old, you’ll need to employ various stealth tactics to avoid detection. Whether you create distractions with fireworks or shoot out lamps to give yourself the cover of darkness, you’ll quickly become a connoisseur of the silent approach. In this dark yet hopeful tale, everything around you is your tool to move forward.
This wild western tale seems rather unique in not only art style but also gameplay. Most involve you pulling out dual revolvers to gun down your foes, which should help El Hijo stand out. If this all seems interesting to you, El Hijo will be yours to keep for $19.99 on PC through Steam and GOG. You can also find it on the Stadia Store at that same price. Just from the outlook, I doubt you’ll regret your purchase.
